Making a New Dial-up Connection

  1. You can get to the Dial-Up Networking Folder by clicking the Start button and selecting Settings and then clicking Network and Dial-up Connections. You'll see the screen below:

 

 
  1. Open Make New Connection, If you havenīt previously configured Dialup Networking then the screen below will ask you for some basic information. If you donīt see the screen below than skip to step three.

 

 
  1. Click Next.

 
  1. Select Dial-up to the Internet and then click Next.

 

 
  1. Select I want to I want to set up my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a Local Area Network (LAN), As shown below and click Next.

 

 
  1. Select I connect through a phone line and a modem, then click next.

 
 
  1. Type in the dial-up number as shown below. Click Next.

 
 
  1. Enter your username and password (you should have received this on your Welcome Letter). Click Next.

 
 
  1. Enter in Real Time for the connection name. Click Next.

 
 
  1. Select No. Click Next.

 
 
  1. Make sure that the checkmark is in the box. Click Finish.
