Wildwood Springs Lodge is picturesquely
situated on a high bluff overlooking the Meramec River and the rolling green valleys
of the Ozarks. This is a tour of Dillard Mill, one of the many area attractions
you can easily visit while relaxing at Wildwood.

The
gristmill at Dillard was built around 1900 and is located on Huzzah Creek, a
clear Ozark stream. The state historic site is operated by the Department of
Natural Resources and offers picnicking, hiking, and a tour of the mill. The
mill is in operational order and continued to operate until the 1960s.
Dillard Mill is one of Missouri's best-preserved examples of a water powered gristmill. The picturesque red mill sits at the junction
of two clear flowing Ozarks streams, the Indian and the Huzzah creeks. Adding to the scenery are a rock dam and a waterfall
that cascades into the millpond.
